Sorry if this has been covered. I searched nv5600 swap here and on google and didnt find much info besides dodge swaps. I have a 2001 chevy 2500HD 4x4 6.0L with the nv4500 and manual t-case. The 4500 works fine, but makes a constant light grinding/cackling almost like 'white noise' when in. The NV5600 6-speed brings a new meaning to the term 'light duty'. In the past, we have only had available the Getrag 360 and the NV4500. Both 5 speed transmissions that had their own little idiosyncrasies. The NV5600, however, is a brute that appears.
